**CANCELLED** Upcoming Council Meeting Attendance

Some of you know that we had planned to attend Niagara Regional Council on Thursday, July 26th.  We have received information that our item is no longer on the Council agenda for that evening.  CUPE National and your bargaining committee are currently in talks with the Employer about next steps, in light of our recent rejection of the employer’s last offer.

After taking advice from CUPE National, we have made a strategic decision to focus on working out next steps with our employer, and postpone for now our attendance at Niagara Regional Council meeting. We want you to know that the bargaining committee and National staff are working hard to find a resolution that you can accept – that is our priority.  Please stay tuned, we will have more information to share in August.
